Most school transport in Addis already runs on HiAce minibuses and similar vans. LijGo does not replace that. We add a verified driver, a live map, and a QR scan to the ride your child is already taking.

Safety first
A guardian system, not just a tracker

Drivers are identified through the national ID — not a photo of a kebele card in a WhatsApp chat.

A unique code for each child. It does not contain their name or address, and you can replace it if it is lost.

The afternoon handover is checked. Whoever holds the guardian QR can collect — you can regenerate it any time.

If the QR is missing
The driver does not just tick a box. There is a recorded fallback: name, grade, school, and a reason.

Questions people actually ask
Your child shows their LijGo QR. The driver scans it. The time and place are logged. The same thing happens when they get off.
Through Telebirr. You can pay a monthly prepaid subscription at the start of the month, or pay per trip from a wallet. You set this up in the app before the first ride.
Identity through Fayda, plus a driving licence with an expiry we actually track. A driver with an expired licence cannot be assigned.
The driver has a recorded fallback: they confirm the child from the day's list, by name, grade, and school.
Yes. The guardian QR is what the driver scans in the afternoon. You can send it to a grandmother or a helper, and you can cancel it if a phone is lost.
Mark them absent in the app. The driver is told, and the route updates.
Schools with their own vehicles can run them on LijGo — routes, QR, live map — without using our matching network.
You can still register. The school does not have to be a LijGo customer for your child to travel.
